Heterosexual dad and mom of LGBTQ adolescents don’t all the time know easy methods to focus on intercourse, a brand new examine says.
“Healthy parent-adolescent relationships and effective parenting are robust predictors of sexual health in heterosexual adolescents,” the authors wrote within the journal Sexuality Research and Social Policy. Researchers from Northwestern University’s Institute for Sexual and Gender Minority Health (ISGMH) requested 44 dad and mom of lesbian, homosexual, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) teenagers to take part in on-line focus teams and focus on their experiences and challenges guiding their youngsters’s sexual data. Their youngsters have been between the ages of 13 and 17.
