FDA: Energy-Based Devices Not Recommended for “Vaginal Rejuvenation” The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is warning girls and healthcare suppliers about the usage of energy-based gadgets for vaginal “rejuvenation” procedures.

The gadgets, which use radiofrequency or laser elements, are at present authorized for destroying irregular or precancerous cervical or vaginal tissue. They may be used to deal with genital warts.

However, they don’t seem to be authorized for vaginal rejuvenation and have been linked to unintended effects like vaginal burns, scarring, painful intercourse, and power ache.

The company referred to as vaginal rejuvenation an “ill-defined term,” but it surely consists of non-surgical therapy for circumstances like vaginal laxity (looseness within the vagina), vaginal atrophy (together with dryness and itching), painful intercourse, painful urination, and decreased sexual sensation.

The gadgets could be utilized in vaginal beauty procedures as effectively.
